The Science Fair has been introduced!

This is a step by step guideline on how to create a proper science fair project and write a proper science report.
All 8th graders are required to participate in the science fair and attendance is mandatory.
Unless otherwise noted, the science fair is February 25th of 2014.
RULES:
1. 2 students per group. Students MAY work by themselves.
2. NONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
a. Animals
b. Dangerous chemicals or weapons
c. Food displayed on the board or at the science fair
d. Glass or sharp objects at the science fair
e. Laser pointers
3. No volcano projects*
4. Work must be displayed on a tri-fold board, no separate posters.
5. Board must be at least 28" high, not exceeding 40"
6. Board must be at least 40" wide, not exceeding 48"
*Volcano projects: Unless given explicit approval by teacher, Volcano projects will NOT be accepted. Should a student choose to do a volcano project, student will receive a 50, regardless of work.
Important science fair dates:
12/17- Final topic selection WITH research
1/7- Due: Topic problem and question
1/14- Due: Hypothesis (minimum: if...then..because statement)
1/28- Due: Procedures completed, data collected
2/11- Due: Completed abstract and paperwork
2/18: Due: Completed Project (display board included)
